Invest in yourself as a rap artist

So this is going to be a quick public service announcement about something that never ends.. Here is the questions at hand... Why would I ever give you free beats to use if you have no recorded songs I can hear.. No Facebook, youtube, or twitter page promoting your music.. Yet you claim you are the next big thing and i should be honored that you are reaching out to me to try and get something for free.. Here is the deal.. If you dont work in studio with me, you havent ever heard from me before, or you are not crazy talented and able to give me some return promotion then please do not ask me. There are a few free beats on my youtube and facebook page that you can use. New artists need to learn the concept of investing in yourself before asking others to invest in you. Believe me - I have always been willing to help artists that have purchased beats from me and have kept in touch and I have heard their improvements. I am always down to work with talent and motivated people who are talented.

So here was the deal.. I was annoyed at the abundance of people asking for free stuff the other week in the studio so we made this track basically to see how long it would take someone to ask to get on it for free.. The dam hook says "Dont ask me for nothin.. If you aint trying to pay" You know how long it took?? 4 hours and I was asked on facebook. To me that is just ignorance. Of course I was very polite as always and referred to "artist" to my free beats section but this just goes to prove how clustered the rap game is with no talent wannabees that must have no one close enough to them to let them know that they sound like garbage! Invest in your self.. Hot beats, hot tracks, and hot visuals/videos is what you need. Keep putting these out consistently and people will start to talk about you. Oh yeah.. Always take constructive criticism with an open mind and try to understand where the criticism is coming from. Everyone has an opinion and they all count!
